EU FOODPACT
We are pleased to inform you that the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Sweden is partnering in the new "EU
FOODPACT: Accelerating Sustainability in the Agri-Food Sector through Community and Food Education Hubs"
project, a "Forward-Looking" Erasmus+ initiative fully funded by the European Union. The project aims to
make sustainability choices a concrete business driver for small-scale and family-run agricultural
micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). This goal will be achieved through the creation of
national Community Food Education Hubs (CFEH), which will act as local centers for guidance,
collaboration, and innovation.
The project addresses a wide range of stakeholders within the agri-food ecosystem for example leaders,
managers, and decision-makers in agri-food SMEs, employees and future workers (vocational and higher
education students) in the agri-food sector and policy-makers, regional stakeholders, and public
authorities.
In addition to Sweden and Italy, the consortium involves partners from Spain, Portugal, Cyprus,
Iceland,
Romania, and Greece. The project will have a duration of 36 months.
The Key objectives:
- Executive Training: Developing training courses on sustainability standards to
help managers
understand skill needs and integrate lifelong learning into their business models.
- Digital Self-Diagnosis Tool: Creating a technological platform to assess
sustainability skill gaps
and generate personalized guidance pathways
- Training and Infrastructure for Consultants: Positioning education providers as
central actors in
sustainability guidelines and advice.
